HolyFishstixBatman writes the following about Fellowship of the Ring (Lord of the Rings, Part I) :
This book was GREAT! In this book it explains how the ring came to be and how Frodo Baggins came to be the Ring-Bearer. It tells of the first part of his travels through The Shire, Rivendell, and Lorien. The plot of the book was to show how the Company of the Ring get through the barren and fruitfull lands to destroy the ring. They have to Run from a Barlog and many Orcs and Gollum a very greddy creature who wants the ring back. J.R.R Tolkien does a very good job of making the story full of excitement and wonder. THe point of veiw of the story is third person. It's good that the story is written in third person because it's a good way to find out how all the characters are feeling at the same moment in the story. The setting really sets the mood for the adventure. Lorien is described really well and you can almost see how beatiful a place it is, just like Rivendell. This really sets how the halflings and man and elves feel when they are there. I think that Fellowship of the Ring was one of the best books I have ever read.
