alex writes the following about Holes :
we had read the book Holes, by Louis Sachar in school for a task. In general, i think this book was a very interesting and capturing read, unputdownable. although, it makes you feel like there is more to it when you have finished reading it.

This is the story is of a young teenage boy, Stanley Yelnats (aka 'caveman') who gets sent to a camp, being blamed for stealing a pair of shoes when he didnt. throughout his time there, he learns the ups and downs of behaviour, and grows stronger and more independent of himself. he also creates a strong friendship with a boy named Zero. But what happens when he finds out who actually stole the shoes?
