In this book review you will read about Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone written by J.K. Rowling. I like this book because it has descriptive words and great detail. You have to be ready to read when you start to read this book because once you start reading this book, you can't put the book down; it pulls you in. It gives you an image in your head of what's going on.
This book is about a young boy whose parents are a witch and wizard, but he doesn't know. Now he's living with his aunt, uncle and their son who is annoying and always gets Harry in trouble on purpose because his parent's were killed by a very powerful and evil wizard. Finally, after years, a wizard takes Harry to Hogwarts, which is a school for witches and wizards, to learn witchcraft and wizardry. At Hogwarts he meets a girl named Hermione, who becomes a friend of Harry's. Thier is a boy named Draco Malfoy who is mean to Harry and not a friend. When Harry and Hermione get suspicious, they go looking for what the Hogwarts school head Wizard is hiding. Harry and his friend go look for the stone, but they find out it is gaurded by a giant 3-headed vicious dog named Fluffy. Do Harry and his friends die? Or find the sorcerer?s stone? You will have to find that out, by reading this book.
I rate this book a 9.5 because it has great details and puts a picture in your mind. You also can?t put it down after you start. I think J.K. Rowling has a very great imagination, and she is also very creative. I like this book very much, and I highly recommend that you read it. I think that the theme of this book is to never give up and to believe in yourself.
