Trinity writes the following about Mattimeo :
What would you do to get your son back? Would you go into some of the most dangerous places or travel half the world? Would you go where an evil monster and his large army rule underground having slaves do there dirty work. Well in the book awesome Mattimeo by Brian Jacques This happened. Mattimeo a young, brave mouse and his friends were taken captive by an evil fox and his band of ferrets. Mattias, Mattimeo's dad, did the extreme by going through anything to get his son from crossing creepy forests to answering hard riddles just to get his son back. Mattimeo changed a lot from the beginning to the end. Through out the story, he tries to escape from the fox by using his smarts. He also gets stronger and is a lot more caring for others. He never gave up and always helping others. If he didn't have these traits he would have given up a long time ago. Mattimeo uses things in the setting to help him and his friends escape even though they were caught shortly after that. There is a lot of suspense in the story because it goes back and forth from people and places so u always wont to keep reading to now what happened to them. Mattias never gave up and the end is some what predictable of what happened. I can believe what happened beside that they are animals and can talk. I found the book very interesting, and I enjoyed reading it. The suspense goes on till the final fight.
