Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be having a normal fun day at lunch with your friends, but suddenly you look on a milk carton, and you see your face? For fifteen year old Janie Johnson, a normal red headed girl going to a normal high school, this was exactly the case.
This book mainly takes place at Janie?s house near New Jersey in the 1990?s. The theme of this book is to never give up. Janie Johnson finds a milk carton with her picture on it that says she is missing. She decides to go on a quest and find out the truth about her life. I would definitely rate this book a 10 out of 10. It is very interesting and it had me going until the last page. The two main characters in this book are Janie and Reeve.
One book I can relate this to is Harris and Me by Gary Paulsen, they are similar because in both books the characters have a really close friend to share the good times with and help them through the bad ones. One thing that is different about these two books is that in Harris and Me is both characters are boys but in The Face on the Milk Carton one is a girl (Janie) and one is a boy (Reeve). I loved reading this, and I am definitely going to read the sequel The Voice on the Radio. I would recommend this bosok to anyone in middle school who likes suspenseful and interesting books.
