Marisa writes the following about The Dark Stairs :

The book the Dark Stairs was outstanding! It was the most exciting book I have ever read. It was better than most mystery books. If you read it you will not want to put it down. The suspicion of what was happening kept me reading until I was done. I liked how there is a mystery in this book, and I love the suspense of what is going to happen in it. Also some parts where scary because of the murder parts, which aren?t that bad. I loved the part when Hurculeah went in the house and she had Meat watch as guard. But knowing Meat he fell asleep, and the Moloch came inside. There was no way for her getting out now?what would she do? Read to find out.

I would defiantly recommend this book to someone. They will love the suspense in the book. If they love mysteries and murder books this is the one! There are scary creatures, two determined kids to find out what is going on in Dead Oak, and two parents trying to keep their daughter out of their private business. Will Hurculeah and Meat turn on them and still go into Dead Oaks anyway to see what is going on our will they eavesdrop on their parents to see what is going on? People should try reading it, maybe they will love it, and maybe they will be scared and hate the murder parts of the story. Who knows until you try reading one today! If they turn out loving it there will always be more, because there is a whole series of these fabulous books. Just to let you know, you won?t be able to put it down until you are done with it!
