Devanne/DJ writes the following about Where the Red Fern Grows :
Where The Red Fern Grows is a heart warming story filled with
adventure and fun. It is about a little boy whose dream is to get some hound dogs. Then, one day his dream comes true. When he gets his dogs he wants them to be the best team of coon hunting dogs in the whole Ozark Mountians! He trains them really well. Then one day his grandpa wants the young boy and his dogs to enter a coon hunting turnoment. And guess what, the dogs and the boy win. But that night the boy and his dogs are out hunting and one of the dogs starts braking. Then the boy looks and he sees that the dog is barking at a mountian lion. Then the dogs get in a fight with the mountian lion.The mountian lion dies but the two dogs are hurt. Will the boy be able to save the dogs? You will have to read the book to find out.
