Punkyturtle076 writes the following about Green Angel :
Have you ever read a really good book that made you think? I have! I read the book Green Angel. I t was an excellent book that makes you think about terrorism and why it happens. I really enjoyed this book because she is a girl learning to become a woman just like me. I also liked this book because of the meanings it sent and the way it makes me think about terrorism and why people do those things to other innocent families.
When Green?s family is killed by a deadly fire, she is left to fend for herself. Green is an excellent gardener trying to learn who she is and trying to find her purpose in life. Green begins to ink roses and bats on her skin and begins to ?wear her armor.? She changes her name and shaves her head. When Green meets a young boy and a dog, she begins to learn the lessons of life once again, love and trust. She begins to learn who she is.
I think that anyone could really read this book. I would recommend this book to teens more than I would to fifth graders and under, and I don?t think grown men would enjoy this book either. This book is more for advanced readers because of some of the descriptions, and it is a difficult book to read.

I feel that this book is like the World Trade Center incident because in the book the fire continues to spread and people continue to try and run; it probably happened the same way in New York. Everyone scattered to escape the burning buildings. The fire is different because many people were left homeless and the world was different, not just the city. In the book it sounds like the whole world changes due to the fire.
On a scale from 1-10, I give this book a ten. I think the messages it sends to people are great. Don?t judge people because of what they look like, don?t give up hope. I think that if we lived in a world where no one was judged by what they looked like and people took time to get to know who they are, everyone would have more friends. This is what Green did; she took the time to get to know people. Also, Green began to give up hope on everything in the world, even herself. Once she starts believing again she begins to believe that anything is possible.
Green Angel had some things that I really liked and some things that I would change. I really liked the before and after pictures on the front and back covers. They gave me an idea of how to picture her while I read the book. The only thing I didn?t like was how it didn?t really state what the setting was. To learn the setting you really had to think. All I could come up with was that it took place somewhere outside a big city and that it possibly happened in the near future.
Overall it was a really great book. If you are a young man or woman, I would recommend you read this book; you may learn something. Oh, and remember, there is a possibility that this may really happen, so don?t ever lose hope.
