There is only one word to describe this thrilling novel by Christopher Paolini - Excellent! Christopher Paolini has done an excellent job of making a movie in the readers head. It is full of mystery, secrets and most of all thrilling adventure! In its Middle Ages setting, many unexpected things happen to Eragon (the unaware Dragon Rider) and his blue dragon in the land of Alagaesia.
Eragon is a 15 year old farm boy who lives in a small town next to the Spine-a string of mountains. He lives with his father- like figure, Garrow, and his cousin. One day he finds an egg shaped rock in the Spine. It turns out to de a dragon egg, a blue dragon egg with a dragon inside it. Eragon has to go through many difficult obstacles with his dragon to try to defeat Galbatorix, the evil king who rules over Alagaesia with his dragon. This is hard for him,
because sometimes he does things without thinking. When he first used his powers, it almost killed him. Don?t be fooled, There are many twists and turns in this book that you won?t ever believe.
This book is so good I would give it a 10 out of 10, for its excellent story line and the picture of his dragon on the cover, even through I pictured the Dragon a little differently. If you?ve ever read the book Gregor the Overlander then I know you will like the book Eragon. In the book Gregor the Overlander, Gregor goes to a land where there are magical creatures like in the book Eragon. Eragon isn?t really sure who he is, but he shouldn?t be so unsure. The message I get from the book is that you never know who you are until you give yourself a chance. This is an amazing book, but if I were to improve it, I would make it longer. Once you start the book, you don?t want to stop reading it.
