Caity Shuck writes the following about The Watson's Go to Birmingham- 1963 :
This book was very interesting. It made you want to keep reading!! The Watsons are on their way to Alabama, but Byron has to stay with grandma Sands because he isnt that good of kid and needs to be watched most of the time. A bomb drops on the church Joey goes to and everyone rushes over there. A few girls were killed and others were hurt. Kenny ends up helping and saving his family. The book leads you all the way to the very end with interesting facts. If you want to find out more about The Watsons Go to Birmingham pick up the book and read it. I recommend this book to ages 9 to 14
