I liked this book because it was very mysterious and it made you think alot about what was going on.I didn't like parts of the book because there was some information that was not needed and some of the parts were really gross.My favorite part was when Sounder came back to the boy and his family.The good thing about this book is that the author did a excellent job explaining how the African Americans were really treated back in the day.
