Holly Burley writes the following about Ties That Bind, Ties That Break (Laurel-Leaf Books) :
This a wonderful book about a young woman trying to survive in a ever changing culture. Young Ailin refuses to have her feet bound and therefore is shunned for most of her family and society. The only people who supported her decision died and she is left with little choices. Great story about a girls who wants nothing more than to be able to run free and learn yet when she defies her family and culture who will she have left??? This story is truly a must read!!!!!
