David writes the following about Family Under the Bridge :
Are you tired of reading your old, boring books again and again? This book, called The Family Under the Bridge, is cool and has some drama in it. The main characters are Armand, a hobo, three children, their dog, and Ms. Calcet, the mother. It is winter in Paris and Armand goes home, which is under the bridge, after he collected stuff and put them in his cart. Then he finds three children under the bridge. They begged that they didn't want to leave because they kept saying they were family so Amand let them stay, but he didn't like it. After Ms. Calcet decided he can be part of the family, she goes to work. Armand decided to take them to see his friend, who was in a Santa Claus costume. Armand starts to develop a weird feeling inside. The kids tell his friend that they want a house for Christmas. While they were going back to the bridge, Armand made the kids sing and he begged for money. They use the money to eat breakfast. When Ms. Calcet heard about it, she told Armand to go away. However, something awful happens to the kids Can Armand help the Calcets and himself have a better life? You'll just have to fnd out. This book is a "thumbs up." This book is recommended for 2nd graders and above. The art really shows what is happening in the story.
