Monkey Girl writes the following about Because of Winn-Dixie [UNABRIDGED] :
Winn Dixie is a stray dog, found at a supermarket by a ten year old girl named Opal. She is upset because her mother abandoned her seven years ago. Opal moves to Naomi, Florida, with her father. That is when she meets Winn Dixie and the adventure begins. He helps her by making some unusual friendships. Because of Winn Dixie, Opal begins to let go of some of her sadness and finds out she has a whole lot to be thankful for.
If you like books that are heartwarming, then this is the book for you! This book appeals to all ages. I would recommend this book, because it was very touching and it teaches just how important friendships can be.I would rate this book 10 stars.
