Jared writes the following about A Child Called 'It' :
Are you looking for a really good autobiography? Well, if you are A Child Called ''It'' is for you .The story is about the author, David Pelzer who is badly abused by his mother. His father, who was his hero and is a firefighter, leaves home when he is just 12 years old meaning no one would be able to protect David from his mother. You will become attached to the story as David struggles to stay alive The story takes place in Dale City, California. David has three brothers but his mother treats him worse then the family dog.She makes him take a bath in very cold water. She also makes him eat garbage and uses food aganst him. David's mother was an alcohlic. She is not mean to David's brothers. David loves his mother so much and cannot understand why she is so mean to him. It is a real tearjerker which means it is not for the sensitive heart. But I would give A Child Called ''It'' a 10 out of 10.
