Jessica MacLean:) writes the following about Hatchet [UNABRIDGED] :
Hatchet is an great book written by Gary Paulsen. It is both enjoyable and educational. After Brian's Parents go through a bitter divorce, he is sent to visit his father in Canada. But on the way to Canada something tellrible happens that causes Brian to be stranded in the Canadian Wilderness for a very long time. Brian is than faced with the need to know how to fetch his own food, find a way to escape the wilderness and also stay alive. Will Brian make it out of the wilderness in time, before his body can't take any more? I would reccomend this book to ages 11 and up because it does in fact go into graphic details. This book was great, and I encourage you all to read it, because I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
