unknown writes the following about among the hidden :
Could you dream of a world where there is only allowed 2 children per household. If so this book is for you. Margaret Haddix creates that world in the first of the shadow children books. Luke is teenager who is a illegal or third child. He had to live his live hiding in fear until he met Jen. Jen was also a third child who Luke quickly became friends with. Jen was a baron or a rich person but she was also a rebel against the population police.
Mainly the idea of this book is to teach kids to never give up. Luke is the main character as you already know and he was my favorite. I liked Luke because he always wanted to be outside and to be adventuress and I think that is kind of like me. The best part of the book was when Luke got up the courage to break into Jens.
