Jeraldine Guillen writes the following about The Great Gilly Hopkins :
The Great Gilly Hopkins is about a girl named Gilly who who has lived with foster parents since she was small but she doesn't like living with foster parents all she wants is go live with her real mother.But when she goes live with Trotter and w.e she likes them more first she doesn't like them alot but then she starts liking them alot and she starts seeing that Trotter does love herand W.e is scared at first but then they start to get along well and Gilly cares more about them but one day Gilly's grandmother goes to her house and she tells her that she is going to take her with her and she does take Gilly to San Francisco and she decides to stay in her uncle's room instead of her mom's room and she stays with her grandmother but she sends Trotter,W.e,Mr.Randolph ,and Agnes cards and they send cards back.
