sadie kate writes the following about Locked in Time :
I think that the book Locked in Time, by Lois Duncan is very well written. The plot in this book is
about a seventeen year old girl named Nore who came to spend the summer with her father and step
family in Louisiana. She finds that her family never ages from information she pieces together. I
think that this element was well developed in Locked in Time. Another element that Lois Duncan uses
is point of view. The point of view in this book is first person; Nore tells the story. I think that this
was used effectively because you can see the world through Nore's eyes. This creates a suspenseful
mood. Louis Duncan developes characters in this book.I think that this element is used effectively
through her writing because she paints a picture through good use of discriptive words. I could picture
what the characters looked like and how they acted. I would recomend the book to other middle
schoolers because Locked in Time is a very easy book to read. Lois Duncan portrays a well written
story through good use of plot, point of view, and character.
