Alanna writes the following about Darkness Before Dawn :
Their is a young lady named Keisha, who is a senior at Hazelwood High. She has been through a lot with losing her friends. She finally gets over it and meets this man who is the coach of the cross-country team. She starts to like him and she realizes that she is being draped into a pit again. She fought so hard to come out of a pit, and now she is dragged back into one. Will she come back out? She realizes the difference between a yound lady and a woman, which is very important for the theme in the story.
