Christy writes the following about The Wish :
So Wilma is a girl who goes to Claverford middle school. She's one of the top three kids that are the least popular. Plus, she wrote a gross story about being a dog. She offers an old lady a seat, old lady says she'll grant one wish of Wilma's, and Wilma wishes to be the most popular girl at Claverford. Love notes, slumber party, attempts to be like Wilma, and excuses to go and see Wilma are just a few things she gets. She dates an unpopular guy, Jared, and discovers that he's not such a bad person after all. She learns the FIVE rules of dating, too.At the graduation dance, she knows that her friends are really Ardis, BeeBee, and Nina. She tries to enjoy her last days of popular-ism and tris her best after a 101 on 'we're real friends.' She learns real friendship, love, real wishes and having fun. I like this book 'cause.....it's just a good book, Period. So just read it!!!!!
