abby writes the following about Speak :

Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson is an awesome book about a girl named Melinda who is an outcast who doesn?t fit in with anyone. All of her former friends hate her and won?t talk to her because she called the cops at a party over the summer. I LOVED this book because it is what really happens to people and is not always so happy. I think this is a wonderful book and should be read by everyone. The other book by Laurie Halse Anderson is Catalyst another super book by her. I would give this book five stars and two thumbs up.
