This book just has to be my favourite all-time read, closely behind "The Lord of the Rings". I absolutely love this book, and particularly Ursula le Guin's style, because she writes like JRR Tolkien but her characters are more human and relatable, kind of like some of the characters from Harry Potter.
And because when you're reading it, this book sounds as if Ursula Le Guin is simply telling us an extract from a very old history book, because, there are whole lot of lands and people and stuff that she just mentions, and just leaves at that. That's what I like about it. Just like LotR, it flows like a history book. Some people might not like that, but I really admire that kind of style.
"A Wizard of Earthsea" is not about battle between good and evil at all. Rather, it's a story about growing up, facing your fears and challenges that you might encounter in life.
This is really an amazing book to read if you like fantasy books, and this is one of the best books I've ever read in my life, almost in the same rank as Lord of the Rings. I really recommend you to try this out, don't be put off by the rather weird cover.. ;)
