I thought this was a very good novel to read. John Marsden is a great writer and makes his stories interesting. I don't like reading that much, but when we were given this novel to read in class, I ended up liking it. It was great how it wasn't predictable. Also the diary entries were a good idea and how Marina didn't speak until the end when you found out her name. It was clever!! The novel was emotional, but an excellent read! Now I have got the second book where Lisa writes in her journal. I hope this book is as good as the last one!!!
