Noughts and Crosses is the best book I have read in a long time. It has elements of romance, drama, and there is something for everyone to be able to relate to in it.
The book is written in a really good way to help you understand completely what the characters are feeling- one chapter is from Sephy's point of view, the next is from Callum's point of view and so on.
This story is sort of like Romeo and Juliet, but in a modern way, with racism, pleanty of romance and lots of other complications on the way. In this story noughts and Crosses are arch enemies. Crosses are the black people, who have power over the noughts- the white people. Callum is a nought, Sephy is a cross, but because they are best friends they ignore their differences and carry on being friends, no matter who disproves of their friendship.
I think I enjoyed this book so much because althought the plot is amazing, and very eventful, it is still written in a way which is very easy to follow.
A great read: Plenty going on, but still believeable, easy to follow, but hard to put down!!! I can't put into words how much I enjoyed reading it, read it!!!!!!!!
