Casey writes the following about Cut :
This book is a wonderful book about a 15 year old girl who is sent to a residental ficilaty for cutting herself. Like most girls around that age who start cutting, Calie( the main character and 15 year old)is addicted to it and dosen't know why she does it.

This book captures everything a self mutilater goes through when faced with these problems. By this i mean the same kind of things goes through a girl who cuts herself's mind in the counseler's office or when she is confronted by her friends about it. Same thing goes for the family when they know. All the things in this book make you understand what a person in this situation thinks, acts like (though not all the time), feels, and knows.

I think it is a great book for anyone who wants to know more about cutting if they do it themselves or have a friend or family member or even knows someone who does it. It will help you understand the basic points behind it, along with maybe bring so relation to you and the main character you didn't realize was there.
