Erin (Rinny) writes the following about Sabriel :
Sabriel is a fantasy book about a young woman (Sabriel) who has lived in a place called Ancelstiere, a place sort of like our world, her whole life. She goes to boarding school and does well in her classes, but there is something different about her that goes beyond her flair for magic. Suddenly, she is thrust into an amazing adventure to save her father the Abhorsen, whos job is to kill things already dead, and the Old Kingdom, a place where magic is everywhere. On this adventure she meets Touchsotne, a young man who was cursed long ago, and Mogget, a white cat who is not what he seems. This is a great book that I would recomend to anyone who loves fantasy. I own this book and I think it's one of the best fantasy books that I have ever read. If you like this, then you should read The sequels, Lirael, and Abhorsen. You should also read The Seventh Tower books by Garth Nix. All of these books are fantastic. I hope Garth Nix keeps writing for a long time.
