Smitty writes the following about Harris And Me :
What I liked about Harris and Me was that it was a funny book. Since they did not give the narrator?s name, I would have rated it a seven out of ten. Harris and me was about a kid whose parents are always drunk, so he is always getting shipped off to another place to live. One summer he is dropped off at a farm where he makes friends with Harris and his family; he learns the way of life on the farm. This book was very hilarious. There are plenty of things they could have been done to improve this book like telling the narrator?s name and more about the whole summer. It seemed like it told only about ten days of the whole summer. It would be better if the narrator had a choice at the end to stay with the Larson?s or to go back to his parents.
