This book may be interesting for a fourth or fifth grader, but readers should be forewarned thet this book lacks depth, realism, and a likeable main character. Sadly, this book contained exactly one metaphor, easy to spot and understand. The book Lyddie contains unrealistic character development and actions, especially in Lyddie herself.
