The Deltora Quest series (1,2, &3) is EXCELLENT.
There are puzzles everywhere and you never quite know what the answer is, unless you sit on that page and think for a while. Which of course stops you from reading more, so you read up until the answer, hit yourself on the forehead and wonder why you didn't know the answer yourself.
The emotions and personalities of the characters are done well, with the added hint of something more going on between Jasmine and Lief. This of course is hinted at VERY lightly, and you only really notice it once you've read the end of series one.
All in all, I give it a 500/10.
