Debra writes the following about The Cardiac Cartel :
This is a very fast paced medical thriller. It is a page turner. But more important is the message it sends about how wrong it is to stereotype people and prejudge them. One of the main heros in this book is a young man called Dusty. He is mentally retarded and has Downs Syndrome. But what the characters in the story (and in real life) don't understand is that he is far smarter than they could imagine or give him credit for. And part of his intellegence is that he realizes that. He uses this to his advantage and becomes a very unlikely and very loveable hero. I think this was a wonderful book that will soon rise to best seller status. Read and enjoy.
