Nolan P. Steele writes the following about The Great Quarterback Switch :
Twelve year old Michael, confined to a wheelchair after an accident uses mental telepathy to communicate football play to his quarterback twin brother, Tom, then suddenly finds himself on the field in his brother's place.

This was a very good book because it made you aware of some of the problems people in wheelchairs have. In this book Michael is not able to play sports because he became crippled after a car hit him. Before the car accident Michael was very athletic and it really was awful for him to be stuck in a wheelchair. Now he has to just watch his brother play and he tries to see if he can guess the plays that his brother, who is the quarterback, is going to call. It makes him feel good to be able to watch his brother, Tom play football since he can't. Somehow the brothers managed to switch places so that Michael is the quarterback and Tom is in the wheelchair.
