Overall, this book is slightly better than its sequel (which I read first). The story is better, as well as the thought that the idea is original.
A kid likes to take pictures, and he finds a camera. Only problem is that the camera is evil. It basically "steals souls". The ending made it impossible for there to be a worthy sequel, but R.L. Stine pulled it off.
Why do I always comment on the ending? Because it's usually a twist. "Say Cheese and Die" qualifies that, and the cover makes more sense than "Say Cheese and Die- Again!". The kid dreams about the cover, and it turns out to be (obviously) a nightmare. Everyone who likes Goosebumps should read this book.
