Laura Caffery writes the following about David Beckham :
This book is a re-tell of David Beckhams life, from when he was born until the day he first son was. It takes us through the ups and down of being and becoming a celebrity, and we share his feelings about the World Cup Shock in '96. This book introduces Davids' Dad, Mum and Sister, also his high profiled wife Victoria meanwhile keeping the focus on David. It tells us how hard it was to please and suport David through his bad times and how much of a great family man he is. It also shows us how close he is to his Dad, 'best friends' even. My favorite parts of the book was about the World Cup, when he gets a red card, forcing the whole country to resent him. I enjoyed this part as it shows me that deep down inside David Beckham is a person with feeling and emotions and not just that face you see day after day on the front page of the 'Daily Star' or 'The Sun'. Overall, this book is fantastic and deffinatly worth a read.
