Adam Jones writes the following about Wringer :
Palmer La Rue is about to turn ten. He will now have to become a wringer. He doesn't have the heart for it. An unexpected visitor comes to his window, and they become fast friends. Will he be able to become a wringer, or will he somehow avoid it?

I'm going in the 5th grade and I read this book as part of my summer reading. Wringer was a great story. Palmer had to make a huge decision which could change his life. Should he become part of the crowd, or stand up for what he believes in? It's the kind of decision all kids usually have to make.

I highly recommend it for all 5th graders to read.
