This was a great book every-one in our group liked it.I liked this book because it was reel funny,and I like comedy.Also this book is realy realistic.I say this book is realistic because one of our themes was "Older people have wild imaginations justlike kids."In the story the adults thought the watermelon was a bug,and the little boy said,"Thats not a bug,thats a watermelon."Another one of our themes was,"You can be helpful to a person without knowing them."It's sort of funny because today after my first basketball game I noticed that a guy left his keys in his car door,and I took the keys to the snack-bar, and I got five dollars for doing that good deed.In the story after the little told the adults that the bug was a watermelon,and they wernt acting alusinated they tried the watermelon and liked it then they started to grow watermelons,and soon their town was called the Watermelon Town.Our third theme was,"Help others even if your not sure if your supposed too."In the story the little boy did not know these people but he helped them anyway.
Personaly I thought the illustrations where great,because there was lot's of details,and every thing was drawn and colerd very clearly.The reason why I am giving so many detailes about the illustrations is because in some books the illustrator might use a diffrent kind of art.If I had to add something to this story,it would be hard because it is already good enough for me.I recommendthis book to everyone of all ages.
