Christine writes the following about Misty of Chincoteague :
Misty of Chincoteague is about this one horse that nobody could catch to keep on Pony Penning Day. Even though this horse could not be caught, Paul had a dream to catch this "Phantom" horse." And if there is such a filly, I'm going to get her on Pony Penning Day she'll be in the corral with the others."(pg.32) But once you catch that horse, it is up for sale. Paul wanted to be the owner of the Phantom but he didn't have enough money. Will he get the money in time to buy the Phantom? You will have to find out for yourself.

I think this book was pretty good, but it won't make sense unless you know horseman's talk. Marguerite Henry did an excellent job explaining the horses in great detail. I would recommend this book because it has so many twists and turns.
