jan writes the following about The Giver :

I think the the book has a good story, it's about a perfect world an utopia without crime, hunger and war. But also the people how live in this world have no feelings, can't see colors and no memories. This world is a world of sameness, everybody wear the same clothes,have the same haircut, have the same behaviour. Everybody how don't fit in the system get killed. The vision of a world like that isn't that unrealistic. In our history we find many simular examples, like the ns-time...ect.
