Narlo writes the following about When Zachary Beaver Came to Town :
We loved the book, but the illustrations wasn't our taste. I think that it would have been better if Scarlett would like Toby or if Zachary lied about his weight. Other changes that we would make are that we would want Kate to like Zachary and vise versa. We also think that the fact of Wayne dying does put an emotional touch into the story, but the author often falls short of perfection while explaining things. Toby's mom should have won the singing competion, but then should have come back to Antler.

Some good points of the story was when the author keeps you guessing after each chapter. We also liked the romantic part of the story and the peeing contest added a humerous touch to the story. It was very entetaining and funny!~!

Our favorite character was Scarlett!~! We liked her becasue she is spunky, funny, and adds alot to the story. She really should have liked Toby in that way! She should have also been involved a little more.
