The book was written by David Almond. It was a exciting tale between a boy, his new friend and an unidentified creature found in Michael's old broken garage. The story does not explain or show what the Skellig is. It is a sci-fi story but educates the reader in small pieces of history and what it would be like to be home educated. The story was quite good but was a bit to fictional for my liking.
I recommend this to people who like sci-fi thrillers but do not expect death in the book but do expect creatures that will not be possible in real life.
The cover shows a man with wings to fly but does not tell if he is good or bad.
