Heather writes the following about The Adventure of Captain Underpants :
Homecoming, a time of fun and spirit. How can anyone mess that up? Easy, put George and Henry on the job. In Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey these two boys wreck homecoming and got a kick out of it. Bubbles in the instruments, helium in the football, pepper in the pom a pom, that?s just what they did at homecoming. Everyday their parents and teachers have to suffer through this is worse. Most kids go through phases, such as their terrible twos. These boys are stuck in some terrible stage. The fact that the principal hates kids doesn?t help him at all. These boys were always having little visits with Mr. Krupp. The only good/calm thing these boys do is write a comic book which gets them in to more trouble when they get a hypno-ring and are and at the principal. Even they didn?t know what was going to happen next. Since these boys were always in trouble, and you will never know what they will do next, it was a real page-turner, in more way than one. As a matter of fact, Chapter 16, ?The Extremely Graphic Violence Chapter,? you flip two pages back and forth to make the picture come to life. Just read this book and you will wan to read the rest of Captain Underpants books and all the book s by Dav Pilkey.
