Have you ever wanted to be like James Bond? Well in Anthony Horowitz's book "Stormbreaker", Alex Rider getsw that exact thing. As you read this book, Alex will discover secrets about the Stormbreaker and his uncle's death.
Alex was awakend by the doorbell at three in the morning only to hear that the only father figure in his life his uncle had died. Before and after the funeral, Alex thougt that it was a car accident. Alex thought this because his uncle was always so careful. Therefore Alex went to the junkyard. Alex saw the bullet holes in the side of his uncle's car, and knew it wasn't an accident.
Later Alex goes to where his uncle worked. He found out that it wasn't a bank, it was an MI6 headquarters, and that his uncle wasn't a banker. He was a spy.
Now MI6 wants to send in someone else, and they want it to be Alex. They say it would be perfect, because who has a 14-year-old spy? When Alex is on his mission he finds clues about the Stormbreaker and his uncle.
This book is a non-stop thriller. Although the ending is quite predictable, all ages would like it.
