Luke writes the following about Halo The Fall of Reach :
The year is 2552. The human race has spread throughout the entire universe. There is another race though. They are called the Covenant and they will not rest until every last human is dead. This is the case in the book, (Halo: The Fall of Reach) written by Eric Nyland. There are two main characters in this story. Without any knowledge of each other, the two will join the fight in the war of survival. Captain Jacob Keyes is the Captain of the UNSC battleship Iroquois. He has spent most of his life training students the ways of battle. When the UNSC called for him on a special mission, Keyes was ready for the job. The second character is John, Spartan 117. He is the Master Chief of his squad of super-humans; Spartans. The Spartans have been created in an attempt to match the technology of the Covenant. Hundreds of children were taken from there home and replaced by clones to be enhanced with super speed, strength, endurance, and logical powers. They might be the last hope for human kind. In this first book of three there is one objective, stay alive. Both John and Captain Keyes will battle on separate fronts to complete this objective. I felt this book was the best I've read. It has action, adventure, and interesting characters. There is nothing I could do to make this a better book. It's that good! After I started reading it, I couldn't stop. It's everything I look for in a story. If you're thinking about reading this book, I would highly recommend it. If you're into action, adventure, and science fiction, this book is for you! This game-based book will have you seating on the edge of your seat and asking for more. I suggest you read (Halo: The Fall of Reach) by Eric Nyland and find out what happens to Captain Keyes and the Spartans. Good luck soldier!
