Jacob writes the following about Guts :
How would you like to watch people you dont know die in your arms, or see a plane crash and watch the passengers get ripped apart by sharks? Gary Paulsen has done this and many other crazy and cool things which he tellsabout in his book, "GUTS".
"GUTS" tells about Gary Paulsens life from his childhood when he made his first bow and hunted with it, to his Iditarod racing, to his book writing. There is a chapter in the book called "Things that Hurt" and is my favorite chapter because it has got a lot of animal attacks and hunting and other awesome stuff.
Gary Paulsen does a very good job describing his feelings and thoughts during every dangerous and or fun parts of his life. I thought he did this especially well when he described getting attacked by a moose.
I think Gary Paulsen has had a really cool life and has done some awesome things. I encourage you to read this book, I liked it a lot.
