Mike writes the following about Hatchet :
Most people take little things in their life for granted. Maybe after reading the book called Hatchet, they might not take those little things for granted.
Thirteen year old Brian doesn't know what he's getting into when he flies to Canada to visit his father. During the flight, the pilot has a heart attack and Brian has to crash land the plane.
Brian had to now live on his own. This meant that he had to not only cook for himself, Brian had to find his own food and kill it. It probably would have been worse for Brian if he hadn't liked the wilderness.
Now maybe Brian or you won't be taking little things like that for granted anymore you might want to start doing some little things that you use to take for granted.
