Julie S. writes the following about West to a Land of Plenty :
This book is about a girl named Teresa Viscardi. She travels to the land of opportunity. Teresa has a sister named Antoinetta. Teresa has to leave behind all of her friends, but she makes new ones as she travels. They rode a train part of the way to the opportunity, but they had to walk the rest of the way. Teresa runs into many troubles. On the way many people get sick and die. Teresa's sister, Netta, dies because of the sickness. They call that sickness, "The Fever".

When they finally get to the land of opportunity, Teresa lives there for the rest of her life. She has many children and dies an old lady.

I think this book would be better for girls than boys. This book can be sad then happy. I think that it is a good book because i like books when people travel places and they tell what happens to them during their adventure. That's why I think that you would like the book West to a Land of Plenty.
