volleyball9 writes the following about The Outsiders :
The Outsiders was an outstanding book! I loved how the author started the book off. I was amazed when I found out that the author was a girl. I don't think I would have the imagination to write a book like this. This book showed a strong sensitivity that some boys could lack. I think this book was very inspiring in a way. I love how all the boys in the gang had different backgrounds. For example, Dally was good at football, Pony is into writing and literature, and Soda didn't really like school. They all had a big part to play. My favorite character is Two-Bit and Soda pop because they were really funny. I love how they make jokes out of everything. I also liked how Dally did show his emotions near the end. Apparently Johnny played a big part in his life. I would recommend this book to many kids. It's great for all ages.
