G-doog Skillet writes the following about The Outsiders :
I LOVE this book, its really cool! Yes, I have to admit that some parts in the book were a little boring and sad, but overall that it was a great book (especially the rumble). The book kept me interested most of the time, so I would rate it about 8 out of 10. If I could recommend the book, then I recommend the children from 10 and up should read it. There were a few things I didn?t didn't like about it though, like Dally and Johnny dying, and Johnny killing bob, but it wasn't that bad at all. My favorite character is Ponyboy because he's nice, smart, and could never do anything really bad to anyone. My other favorite character is Johnny because he may be shy, but when in his friends are in danger, he doesn't hesitate to help them. One big lesson in this book is that you don't kill anyone and try to compromise.
