Shaye H. writes the following about Thunder Rolling in the Mountains :
This is the story of an Indian girl who has to leave home because of the white people. She is part of the Nee-Mee-Poo tribe. One day the white men came. They forced the Nee-Mee-Poo to leave their home in Lapawi, if not there would be war. The chiefs did not want that. Then they went on there way to Wallowa. Their journey was hard but they made it. They survived 2 wars.

I loved everything about the story. It was the kind of book that I like especially because it had both mystery and history. I thought it was great!!!
