matt writes the following about Holes :
I thought Holes was funny and exciting. What happens is Stanley Yelnats [Caveman], Hector Zeroni [Zero], and the other boys have to dig holes to be good boys. The holes must be 5ft deep and 5ft wide. Do you know why Hector is called Zero? There is nothing going on in his head! They even say all he is good for is digging holes. The boys get nick names according to behavior or hygene, like ,Armpit. They call him that because his armpits stink!

I would definently recommend this book! It will make you laugh. It is funny and kind of tragic. Some would even say thrilling, but I think it is mostly funny. Notice: Stanley is Yelnats spelled back wards
